Clean Eating: Day 6
After a LONG Valentine's Weekend, I'm back to tell you all about clean eating! I'm sure you missed me.
Day 6 went literally not as planned at all, but that's just life right?
Pumpkin microwave mug
Salmon spinach salad
Broccoli potato salad snack
Flank steak, asparagus and sweet potato turnip mash
Apple with almond butter
What I meant but "literally not as planned at all" was that I basically did not eat a single one of those things.
Here's how my dad went..
Tried to make the pumpkin mug, tasted like shit, threw it away and made a fruit smoothie with coconut milk instead.
Made the salmon spinach salad with marinated fennel (I swear I did), got so busy at work I never got around to eating it.
On really busy days at the winery, our chef's will make a staff meal for everyone to eat when they have time. Saturday's staff meal was a potroast and mashed potatos, so I had a few pieces of short rib around 2 pm, and that was my lunch. Basically steak and that was supposed to be for dinner anyways.
Just go with it.
My parents made me a plate for dinner, but when I got home I was so exhausted I went straight to bed, sans dinner and snack. I don't think skipping meals is part of clean eating, but neither is working three 12 hour days back to back to back.
Once again.. Sorry Buzzfeed!
My parents did say the steak was pretty good, as well as the sweet potato turnip mash. My dad said he didn't like the steamed asparagus, and if they could do it again they would probably just roast all the veggies together.
ONE. MORE. DAY.
